So, nun ist OS X 10.10 Yosemite bereit und funktioniert zuverlässig. Dazu sind Macs heute doch mehrfach anzufinden, besonders bei Musikern. Mit Yosemite und alten Macs empfehle ich allerdings die Grafikkarte zu checken, die unter OS X 10.10 deutlich mehr beansprucht wird. Die alte GeForce 120 im 2009er Mac Pro ist die unterste erlaubte Kante, aber macht nicht wirklich Spaß, weshalb ich hier eine Radeon HD5850 (die beste/schnellste) oder eine HD5770 empfehlen würde. Beide liegen bei gut 150€ – wer mehr will, gibt erheblich mehr Geld aus und kann nicht…

Am 8.10. wird ein „massenkompatibles“ kleines 15-Minuten Special zum Thema Sampling im WDR5-Radio in der Sendung „Leonardo“ erscheinen. Ich wurde vor einigen Monden dazu interviewt, weshalb wohl AUCH (aber nicht nur) einige O-Töne von mir drin sein werden. Propellerhead Reason 8 Update & die Top-News der Woche – haben Non Eric, Rolf Wöhr- und Tom Ammer-mann und meinereiner verquasselt und die Idee ob Software Abos toll sind oder nicht – wie Adobe!? – Ich erwähnte da den Pixelmator und Gimp kostet sogar gar nichts – aber die Entwickler brauchen natürlich Geld – damit sie weiter arbeiten und ans neue OS anpassen…?
